| Welcome to the Pressing Forward in the Name of the Lord Tabernacle on the Hill Hallelujah Baptist Church, where Dr. William Nelson Madison has been the musician for 40 years. Dr. Madison’s reputation on the organ and piano keys stretches from the organ pipes of Pressing Forward to the sticks of his native North Carolina. But when Dr. Madison passes away suddenly, his untimely death causes “disaccord’” in The Choir, which can no longer hit the right notes. |
Thanks to The Choir, who are set in their old-fashioned ways, “Divine Intervention”
might be needed to find a successor to fill Dr. Madison’s empty organ stool. The personalities of The Choir, combined with each of their desires to always sing lead only intensifies the challenge in finding a new musician.
Then there’s The Congregation, whose daily church activities include “hat feuds,” “heated church meetings” and “shouting competitions.” And “step up to the plate ” and meet, Rev. Right Just the “Mac Daddy-lookin’”, “collection-callin’” Pastor of Pressing Forward in the Name of the Lord Tabernacle on the Hill Hallelujah Baptist Church.
But while The Choir’s singing is off due to their lack of a musician, their “dischord” is also throwing The Congregation and The Ushers off. And to make matters worse, the conclusion of Rev. Just’s sermons are no longer being accompanied by the deeply moving, spiritual sounds of the organ.
And finding a new musician is proving to be much harder than they had ever imagined!
